Got a snack-attack!! and craving for some yummy fried chips? Well if yes, then you need to stop wherever you are and read this page to get some good ideas on snacking and avoid unhealthy binge eating. Also,  resisting an urge to eat fried chips and a fatty plate full of unhealthy food items can reward you in many ways and also can help you to achieve your 2018 fitness resolution šŸ’Ŗ

Let's begin with the easily available snack options 

1. Fresh Fruit plate

Eating fruits can never be boring. People who eat more fruits as a part of an overall healthy diet are likely to have a reduced risk of some chronic diseases. Fruits provide nutrients vital for health and maintenance of your body. Some easily available and affordable fruits like watermelon, pineapple, chickoo, grapes, apple, and bananas are great for your body and regular intake gives amazing results
To make it tasty, add a pinch of black/sea salt or chaat masala. Yummy in my tummy!!

2. Roasted Blackgram

Roasted chana (Black chickpeas, kabuli chana, black bengal gram, kala chana etc) is a most easily available snack in any grocery store in India and also is an amazing source of protein, fiber, and essential fatty acids. So next time when you meet with a snaccident, munch a bowl of chana for effective weight loss.
To make it tasty, combine it with 1 chopped tomato and onion and your chana bhel is ready šŸ˜‹

3. Makhanas

Makhanas, also known as Lotus seeds or Fox seeds are low in calories and this makes it an ideal snack for weight loss. They are also low in cholesterol, fat, and sodium. This snack can also be consumed by people suffering from high blood pressure, heart diseases and obesity. These puffed seeds can be tossed with some black salt and had as a snack. You can also fry them in a little ghee and add your favorite spice to it 

4. Dates ladoo

We all know that dates are a good source of various vitamins and minerals. It’s also a good source of energy, sugar, and fiber.And when we combine dates with our favorite nuts, dark chocolate choco chips, and coconut, it turns out to be the energy bomb and we call it as "Dates Ladoo". Easy to make and store, these ladoos are truly healthy and yummy especially if you got the sweet tooth like me!. All you need to do is:

1. Microwave the dates for 30 seconds to soften them. (If you are using pitted dates, then you need to remove the seeds)
2. Add your favorite chopped nuts, choco chips and 1tbsp ghee and dates in a large bowl and mix them well
3. Divide the mixture into small portions and roll them into the small balls. And it's ready!!

5. Boiled eggs

Eggs are incredibly nutritious.You can eat your eggs in many ways, but boiling is a simple way to create a healthy snack that can be taken on the go.Eggs are a quality source of protein, and are known to be the highest source of all food sources. Protein helps give your body energy and makes you feel full longer.
Add a pinch of black salt and black pepper to the boiled eggs and you are good to go!

                 If you include these healthy snacks in your diet, you can be sure to get many of the vitamins and minerals you need. For children who are active and growing, snacks also give them the energy they need to grow and play.
